ABOUT JAMES A. BUTLIN, K.C., A CALGARY PERSONAL INJURY LAWYER
Professional Profile
Since being called to the Alberta Bar in 1972, James A. Butlin has amassed an abundant knowledge of the law and has gained extensive experience in litigation, personal injury cases, and trial proceedings. These assets allow him to seek the maximum settlement for clients entitled to damages related to a personal injury case.
Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, Jim was involved with many serious criminal trials. From 1973 to 1976, he represented clients in both Southern Alberta and British Columbia’s interior. After this period, he returned to Alberta to assist in a major homicide trial. During his time in British Columbia, Jim had the great fortune of practicing both civil and criminal litigation within the assize system, giving him hands-on experience in his early career.
